Job Summary
The Sales Officer is
responsible for driving client growth and building strong customer
relationships by acquiring new customers, opening accounts, and managing a
profitable portfolio of savings and credit clients.
The role focuses on
sales performance, customer acquisition, and delivering financial inclusion
through FINCA’s banking and credit products.
Key
Responsibilities
Client Acquisition
& Sales
- Conduct sales drives to promote FINCA
products and services.
- Explain financial products to both
prospective and existing clients.
- Open savings and loan accounts in the
field and at branch level.
Portfolio Growth
& Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain profitable
relationships with clients.
- Work with the Branch Manager to prepare
daily, weekly, and monthly action plans.
- Increase client base and loan disbursement
volumes.
Product Marketing
& Promotion
- Market all FINCA products using approved
promotional tools.
- Support outreach activities to expand
customer reach.
Credit & Loan
Processing
- Submit high-quality loan applications to
the credit department.
- Understand customer needs and recommend
appropriate financial solutions.
- Ensure proper management of customer
documentation.
Alternative
Delivery Channels
- Promote access to banking through agents
and alternative delivery channels.
- Ensure clients receive reliable and
accessible financial services.
Reporting &
Administration
- Prepare and submit sales and performance
reports as required.
- Maintain accurate and organized customer
records.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in:
- Business-related studies
- Social Studies
- Community Development
- Finance
- Economics
- Or related fields
Required Skills
& Competencies
- Strong customer orientation and
interpersonal skills.
- Basic mathematical and analytical ability.
- Strong reading, writing, and comprehension
skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a client-facing sales
environment.
- Good communication and persuasion skills.
- Experience in micro-lending is an added
advantage.
- Experience in education or agricultural
outreach roles is beneficial.
