The International School of Tanganyika (IST) has officially opened applications for the 2026–2027 IST Scholarship Programme. The scholarship provides an opportunity for high-achieving Tanzanian students to pursue the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme at one of Tanzania’s leading international schools.
The programme supports academically excellent students with strong potential and commitment to education, in line with IST’s mission to challenge, support, and inspire learners through access to world-class international education.
About the IST Scholarship Programme

Supports Tanzanian students to study the IB Diploma Programme

Targets motivated learners who have completed Form Four

Focuses on students with outstanding NECTA examination results

Aims to develop future leaders who will contribute positively to society
Candidate Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following:

Be aged 16 to 19 years as of 1 August 2026

Have completed Form Four studies
-
Attain NECTA Division I with 7–10 points in CSEE
-
Be ready to live in Dar es Salaam with parents or guardians

Understand that IST does not provide boarding or transport
Only candidates who fully meet these requirements will be considered.
