Job Purpose / Mission

Oversee and manage the country’s end-to-end operations to ensure product availability, operational efficiency, and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive operational compliance and risk management (OSHA, ISO 9001/14001, NEMC, insurance reporting).
  • Plan budgets with other department heads to ensure demand-supply alignment.
  • Communicate departmental updates and standards to the supply chain teams.
  • Implement and enforce supply chain processes and performance metrics.
  • Manage product lifecycle, reverse logistics, and cost optimization.
  • Maintain relationships with partners and government institutions (TRA, TBS, TPA, EAC).
  • Forecast and manage stock levels, distribution, and warehouse efficiency.
  • Oversee workshop activities, technical productivity, and equipment management.
  • Review team KPIs, assess training needs, and ensure staff have resources to perform effectively.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Master’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Production & Operations Management, or related fields.
  • 5+ years managing teams (department/operations/supply chain/distribution).
  • 2+ years hands-on supply chain experience (distribution, technical, inventory management).
  • FMCG experience preferred.
  • Certifications such as CILT, CSCP, CIPS, PSPTB, NBMM are advantageous.
  • Strong business acumen, financial awareness, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Kiswahili.
  • Technology skills: Microsoft Office, ERP systems (Dynamics NAV, SAP, Odoo), MRP I/II.
  • Knowledge of East African import/export laws, regulations, and compliance standards.

Assistant Director
Position Summary
DNG Tanzania is seeking a dedicated, strategic, and motivated Assistant Director to support the overall leadership and management of the organisation. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Executive Director to oversee programs, strengthen partnerships, improve organisational systems, and support fundraising and donor engagement.

Monitoring, Evaluation And Learning Advisor
Position Overview
DNG Tanzania is seeking a skilled and results-oriented Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Advisor to lead the design, implementation, and strengthening of the organisation’s MEL systems. The MEL Advisor will play a critical role in ensuring program quality, accountability, learning, and evidence-based decision-making across all projects.

Key Responsibilities
• Design and implement organisation-wide integrated MEL frameworks, tools, and systems.
• Develop indicators, data collection tools, and reporting templates aligned with donor and organisational requirements.
• Lead monitoring activities, evaluations, and learning processes across programs.

The role is critical in strengthening DNG Tanzania’s public image, donor engagement, digital presence, and storytelling for impact.

• Develop and implement DNG Tanzania’s communication and marketing strategy.
• Manage organisational branding, messaging, and visibility across all platforms.

Volunteer Coordinator
Position Overview
DNG Tanzania is seeking a proactive, organised, and people-oriented Volunteer Coordinator to manage the recruitment, placement, engagement, and retention of volunteers across the organisation’s programs. The Volunteer Coordinator will ensure that volunteers are effectively supported, motivated, and aligned with DNG Tanzania’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement volunteer recruitment and engagement strategies.
• Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and training of volunteers.
• Match volunteers to appropriate programs and activities.
• Serve as the main point of contact for volunteers.

Finance Manager
Position Overview
DNG Tanzania is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented, and strategic Finance Manager to oversee the organisation’s financial management systems, ensure compliance with donor and statutory requirements, and support sustainable financial planning. The Finance Manager will play a key role in strengthening internal controls and supporting program effectiveness through sound financial management.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead overall financial management, budgeting, and financial planning.
• Prepare and manage organisational and project budgets.
• Ensure accurate accounting records and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee cash flow management, bank reconciliations, and expenditure controls.
• Ensure compliance with donor requirements, NGO regulations, and financial policies.
• Prepare financial reports for management, the Board, and donors.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement audit recommendations.
• Support proposal budgeting and grant financial reporting.
• Strengthen internal controls, risk management, and financial procedures.
• Supervise finance staff and build financial management capacity across the organisation.

Qualifications and Experience needed

Website Designer And Maintenance Officer
Position Overview
DNG Tanzania is seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and technically skilled Website Designer and Maintenance Officer to design, manage, update, and maintain the organisation’s website and related digital platforms. The role will ensure that www.dng.or.tz remains functional, secure, visually appealing, and aligned with organisational branding and communication goals.

Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain the DNG Tanzania website (www.dng.or.tz).
• Regularly update website content, layouts, and multimedia materials.
• Ensure website functionality, performance, security, and backups.
• Improve user experience (UX) and accessibility across devices.
• Support integration of donation, contact, and engagement tools.
• Work closely with the Communication and Marketing team on branding and content.

Mkwawa Leaf Tobacco Limited (MLTL) | Full Time

Mkwawa Leaf Tobacco Limited (MLTL) invites applications from suitable and qualified candidates to fill the following position.

Role & Responsibilities

1.    Contributes annually to the 3-to-5-year Strategic Plan inputs and present to management to establish final strategies.

  • Establishing key assumptions for 5 years strategic plan and present to management for review and approval.
  • Initiating the strategic plan process by liaising with all HOD.
  • Consolidating all 5 years strategic plan expenses received from Head of Departments.
  • Establish balance sheet items for 5 years strategic plan.
  • Provide clear comment on 5years strategic plan report/templates.
  • Presenting the 5-year strategic plan to management.

2.    Receive and consolidates Factory annual budgets, CAPEX and Latest Estimates (LE;s) and submit to Head of Planning and Product Costing Manager for final review and presenting to management.

  • Establish key Annual Budget Assumptions in line with MLTL Finance Policies and Procedures and Financial guidelines.
  • Initiate the Annual Budget process by liaising with all Factory HOD and guide them on how to establish their departmental budget.
  • Follow-up with Factory HOD and call for departmental Budget review meetings with relevant Line Managers ensuring compliance with the MLTL budget assumptions.
  • Consolidate the Factory departmental Budget files for management review.
  • Provide commentary on budget report and template as guided by management.
  • Compiles the Factory CAPEX budget, submits it to Management for final review and aligns it at entity level.
  • In conjunction with Head of Planning and Product Costing prepares the presentation for the factory Budget inclusive of supplementary analysis and submits this to Finance Director/Management to align.

3.    Factory Management Accounts Pack and Cost Saving Tracker.

  • Prepare management accounts report including receiving input from all sections under factory department.
  • Management accounts should reveal areas of improvement on cost monitoring and control and advise measures to be taken.
  • Do a first review of the management accounts report before submitting it to Head of Planning & Product Costing for final approval by Finance Director.
  • Circulates the Management Accounts Pack and follows up with the management team on implementation of proposed action plan
  • Establish Departmental saving tracker, identify savings, and cost drivers for the operations.
  • Organizes quarterly departmental Review meetings to review the Management Accounts Pack with Directors and Line Managers.

4.    Checks the accuracy and compliance of data integrity for COGS departments in the company accounting system on daily basis.

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts for factory by analyzing source documents and related account information for accuracy and compliance on daily basis.
  • Prepare and capture the journal entries on monthly basis e.g. Bonus provision, cost reclassification etc.
  • Reconciles fixed assets sub-ledger against the trial balance on monthly basis and Submit to Accounting and Internal Control Manager for approval and filling purpose according to the Company Policy.
  • Review Capex Internal Orders on weekly basis for accuracy and completeness.
  • Produce and maintain detailed repair and maintenance reports and share insights into analysis performed on the report to engineering Manager on monthly basis or at any time when demanded.
  • Prepare monthly utility reports for electrical consumption, boiler fuel consumption, water consumption, downtime and direct labour for submission to Factory Management.

5.    Creates and monitors monthly assets value in the company accounting system from tracking Assets under construction/WIP and capitalizing when projects are completed, running monthly depreciation, conducting assets evaluation and recommending rates and write-offs.

  • Creates Internal Orders of approved Capex into the company accounting system. Maintaining the Work in Progress (WIP)/Asset Under Construction until the projects are fully completed and ready for use/capitalization.
  • Monitors the depreciation of the assets by conducting depreciation run into the company accounting system by end of each month and reconciles the assets sub-ledger against trial balance in line with the company depreciation policy.
  • Conducts assets evaluation in terms of book value, market value and recommends disposal rates during the disposal of the fixed assets.
  • Preparing the Fixed Assets Movement Schedule at the end of the Financial Year and sending it to the Finance Manager for Reporting Purpose, also, to the Auditors for Auditing Procedures.
  • Prepares all relevant listings for audit purpose and supports audits whether internal or external.
  • Prepares and sends Capex Commitment Reports to the Stores/procurement departments and Projects owners for follow up to clear all Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders on a monthly.

  • 4-6 years’ relevant experience in Tobacco Industry with knowledge of financial and operation systems (SAGE, MTS).
  • Detailed knowledge of spreadsheets and applications (MS Word/ Power Point and Excel).
  • Initiative/Perseverance.

  • Emotional Resilience in fast paced environments.
  • Good Communication skills.
