About the Role
The Laboratory Assistant will support daily laboratory operations by conducting diagnostic tests, handling biological samples, maintaining laboratory equipment, managing records, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities
Laboratory Testing & Diagnostics
Perform various laboratory tests including:
Blood Tests
Urinalysis
Microbiological Cultures
Diagnostic Screening Procedures
Assist in disease detection and monitoring activities.
Ensure accuracy and reliability of laboratory results.
Sample Collection & Handling
Collect, label, process, and store biological specimens.
Maintain strict sterility and infection prevention protocols.
Adhere to laboratory safety and quality control standards.
Equipment Management
Operate laboratory equipment and instruments.
Perform routine calibration and maintenance checks.
Report equipment malfunctions and support troubleshooting activities.
Records & Documentation
Record laboratory findings accurately.
Maintain laboratory reports and patient records.
Ensure confidentiality and proper documentation practices.
Inventory & Laboratory Operations
Monitor laboratory supplies and consumables.
Manage stock levels of reagents and testing materials.
Support efficient day-to-day laboratory operations.

Qualifications and Requirements
Applicants must possess:
Educational Qualifications
Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field.
Professional Requirements
Valid Practicing License.
Registration with the relevant professional regulatory authority (ERP).
Compliance with applicable healthcare practice standards.
Experience
Minimum of two (2) years relevant working experience.
Experience in Occupational Health, Industrial Medicine, or Corporate Healthcare Services will be an added advantage.
