Job Purpose
The Finance and Procurement Assistant will support the day-to-day financial management and procurement operations of the Americares Tanzania Country Office.
The role focuses on:
Financial documentation
Procurement processing
Record management
Compliance monitoring
Audit preparedness
Operational support
The successful candidate will help ensure all financial and procurement activities comply with Americares policies, donor requirements, and Tanzanian regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Support
Prepare payment vouchers and supporting documentation.
Maintain accurate financial filing systems.
Track invoices, travel expenses, and payment schedules.
Support monthly and year-end financial closing activities.
Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
Verify compliance with Electronic Fiscal Device (EFD) requirements.
Assist with petty cash administration and record keeping.
Maintain audit-ready financial records.
Procurement Support
Assist in procurement of goods and services.
Prepare Requests for Quotations (RFQs).
Support Purchase Order (PO) preparation and tracking.
Maintain supplier and vendor databases.
Conduct market research and supplier analysis.
Support procurement committee activities.
Monitor procurement workflows and delivery schedules.
Ensure procurement documentation is complete and compliant.
Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure adherence to donor regulations and organizational policies.
Maintain confidentiality of financial and procurement information.
Support segregation-of-duties (SOD) compliance.
Identify and report compliance risks promptly.
Contribute to operational accountability and transparency.
Required Qualifications
