General Overview
The Field
Technician/Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance activities of telecom
sites assigned to the company.

maintenance activities. Duties will include site cleaning, removal
and replacement of faulty spare parts, generator servicing and fueling, and
preparation of maintenance and site reports.
Qualifications
- Advanced Diploma in Electronics and
Telecommunications Engineering or Information Technology
- EWURA Certification
Experience
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in:
- Call
centre management and/or
- Field
operations management

Key Responsibilities
The Field Technician/Engineer will:
- Ensure
all preventive maintenance
activities for assigned sites are completed according to
client standards, including:
- Generator
servicing
- Air
conditioning maintenance
- Electric
fence inspection
- Site
cleaning
- Generator
refueling
- Receive Trouble Tickets (TT) and
attend to sites immediately to diagnose and resolve issues within
the Mean Time to Repair
(MTTR).
- Monitor
fuel levels at sites and prepare
fuel orders according to the fueling schedule.
- Regularly
check and report fuel-related
data including:
- Generator
Running Hours (RHS)
- Fuel
consumption
- Fuel
levels in tanks
- Fuel
theft or spills
- Ensure smart meters are properly connected and
operational, including fuel alarm functionality.
- Assist
the O&M Assistant Manager
– Maintenance in conducting fuel consumption tests.
- Diagnose
faulty spare parts, replace them, and return defective parts for recording
and disposal.
- Ensure
all sites remain clean and
vegetation is cleared within one meter of the palisade wall.
- Prepare weekly site reports with photo
attachments and submit them to the O&M Assistant Manager – Maintenance
and NMC.
- Prepare failure reports when
required.
- Provide
feedback on all closed
Trouble Tickets and explain reasons for unresolved ones,
including action plans to close them within MTTR.
- Conduct monthly site maintenance audits and
prepare audit reports.
