regions in Tanzania: Shinyanga, Mara, Mbeya, and Tabora.

1. POSITION: DATA CLERK
Job Summary
The Data Clerk will be responsible for
collecting, recording, verifying, and maintaining accurate market data during
the tobacco buying season. The role ensures that all farmer deliveries, grading
results, payments, and related records are properly captured in company systems
and registers.
Key Responsibilities
- Capture
and record farmer delivery data accurately into systems or registers
- Verify
data received from graders, weighbridge operators, and market officials
- Maintain
organized and updated records of tobacco deliveries and transactions
- Assist
in preparing daily market reports and summaries
- Ensure
proper filing and storage of documents for auditing and reference
- Report
any data discrepancies or errors to the Market Supervisor
- Support
administrative and documentation tasks within the market team
- Ensure
confidentiality and security of company and farmer data
- Assist
in daily data reconciliation
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate
or Diploma in Information Technology, Business Administration, Records
Management, Statistics, or related field
- Minimum
of 1 year experience in data entry, clerical, or administrative roles
- Experience
in agricultural markets is an added advantage
- Proficiency
in Microsoft Excel, Word, and basic computer applications
- Good
typing speed and high accuracy in data entry
- Strong
attention to detail and numerical ability
- Ability
to work under pressure during peak periods
- Good
communication and teamwork skills
- High
level of integrity and confidentiality
2. POSITION: TOBACCO LEAF CHECKER
Job Purpose
The Tobacco Leaf Checker is responsible for
inspecting, grading, and verifying the quality and quantity of tobacco leaves
purchased from farmers. The role ensures all tobacco meets the company’s
quality standards and grading specifications.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Inspect
tobacco leaves at buying centers or warehouses
- Verify
quality, grade, moisture content, and overall condition
- Ensure
proper classification, grading, and recording of tobacco bales
- Confirm
weight and quantity match supporting documentation
- Identify
and separate damaged or substandard tobacco leaves
- Ensure
compliance with company quality control procedures
- Record
inspection results and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate
with buyers, graders, and warehouse teams
- Report
quality issues, irregularities, or suspected fraud
- Ensure
proper storage, stacking, and handling of tobacco
- Maintain
cleanliness and order at the workplace
- Follow
all health and
safety procedures
Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate
or Diploma in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Crop Production, or related field
- Secondary
education may be considered with relevant experience
- Experience
in tobacco buying, grading, or handling is an added advantage
- Knowledge
of tobacco grading and quality standards preferred
- Ability
to identify defects, moisture levels, and quality variations
- Good
record-keeping and basic numeracy skills
- Ability
to work under pressure during peak season

integrity and attention to detail
- Good
communication and teamwork skills
- Physically
fit for field or warehouse work
