Qualifications (Direct Entry)

Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Transport Management, Logistics Management, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Transport Officer will be responsible for the following duties:

To conduct routine checks to ensure all vehicles are in good working condition.
To supervise drivers and ensure optimal utilization of transport resources.
To prepare and submit monthly performance reports for individual vehicle drivers for management action.
To advise on the serviceability of vehicle equipment and recommend disposal of unserviceable or uneconomical assets.
To ensure accurate maintenance of log sheets for all vehicles.
To keep electronic vehicle records, including total distance travelled by vehicles.
To maintain high vehicle availability by minimizing downtime.
To prepare technical reports, statistics, and documents related to vehicle maintenance.
To develop Transport Safety Guidelines, Driving Manuals for drivers, and internal repair and maintenance guidelines.
To prepare driver training proposals in line with company policies.
To develop performance measurement tools for drivers to support performance management.
To perform any other duties as may be assigned by supervisors.

Language Requirements
