Purpose of the Role

  • Support planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of strategic and operational projects across the bank

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget

  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices

Summary of Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, scheduling, and executing projects across departments such as IT, Operations, Digital Banking, Retail and Corporate Banking, and Compliance

  • Develop and maintain project documentation including charters, plans, risk registers, issue logs, and progress reports

  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure activities remain on schedule

  • Coordinate meetings, prepare minutes, and follow up on action points

Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a liaison between business units, vendors, and technical teams

  • Follow up with stakeholders to ensure tasks are completed on time

  • Support business units in gathering and defining user requirements

Monitoring and Reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports for senior management and the Project Steering Committee

  • Monitor project risks, issues, and dependencies and escalate where necessary

  • Track project budgets and resource utilization

Quality Assurance and Compliance

  • Ensure project activities comply with internal bank policies and regulatory standards

  • Support User Acceptance Testing by coordinating test sessions and managing defect logs

  • Participate in post-implementation reviews and lessons learned

  • Support pilot testing and ensure pre-launch requirements are completed

Vendor and Partner Coordination

  • Assist in evaluating vendors and monitoring performance against service level agreements

  • Coordinate procurement documentation for project-related activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, Project Management, Finance, or related field

  • 2 to 4 years’ experience in project management or banking operations

  • Experience in banking or fintech environment is an added advantage

  • Knowledge of banking processes, digital banking solutions, and regulatory frameworks

  • Understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall

  • Professional certifications such as CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile training are an added advantage

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities

  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
