Organizational Overview
Asante Africa Foundation is a nonprofit organization
promoting quality education, life skills, and leadership development for
children in East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda). They focus on creating safe
learning environments, strengthening teacher quality, and providing merit-based
scholarships.
Position Overview
The MEAL Associate will support the
implementation and strengthening of Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and
Learning (MEAL) systems. Key goals include high-quality data collection, analysis,
and reporting to enhance program impact.

Monitoring & Data |
Support M&E plans, coordinate routine data collection,
conduct field visits, and assist with baseline/midline/endline assessments. |

Data Management |
Maintain databases, clean and analyze
quantitative/qualitative data, and produce performance dashboards. |
|
Reporting |
Contribute to monthly/quarterly/annual reports, track
donor results frameworks, and develop case studies/impact briefs. |
|
Accountability |
Manage beneficiary feedback mechanisms and ensure
safeguarding and confidentiality standards. |
|
Learning |
Document lessons learned, support review meetings, and
train staff/partners on MEAL tools. |
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor’s
degree in Monitoring & Evaluation, Statistics, Development Studies,
Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 3
years in MEAL within NGO/development programs.
- Preferred: Experience
in education, youth, or livelihoods programming and familiarity with
donor-funded projects.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Tools: Proficiency
in KoboToolbox, ODK, or SurveyCTO.
- Analysis: Advanced Excel (Required);
SPSS, STATA, or Power BI (Asset).
- Frameworks: Deep
knowledge of logframes, theories of change, and results frameworks.
- Soft
Skills: High attention to detail, strong reporting/data
visualization, and willingness to travel frequently.
