Position Function

The Treasury Sales Manager is responsible for:

  • Implementing and handling corporate daily foreign exchange requirements and offering risk management solutions.
  • Providing management solutions to all forex risk exposures through treasury product offerings.

Sales training programs

  • Acting as a treasury product partner to Corporate Relationship Managers.
  • Formulating treasury sales strategies aimed at increasing the bank’s forex position in the market by building a strong customer base.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Business Generation: Identify and engage prospective clients to generate treasury business through consultative selling.
  • Relationship Management: Maintain and deepen relationships with existing clients and branch/relationship managers to cross-sell treasury products.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute sales plans to meet revenue and profitability targets.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze local and global market data, trends, and drivers to advise internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Portfolio Growth: Drive growth through prospecting, client calls, and strategic outreach.
  • Collaboration: Work with front-office partners (relationship managers, credit, risk, and product teams) to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery.
  • Product Innovation: Convey client feedback to product teams for enhancement and innovation.
  • Compliance: Ensure all deals comply with internal policies, regulatory frameworks, and credit/risk limits.
  • Training: Conduct training sessions and product updates for branch staff and Relationship Managers (RMs).

 

Technical Know-How & Qualifications

  • Education: University degree in Commerce, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

Dar es Salaam jobs

  • Advanced Degree: A Master’s Degree will be an added advantage.
  • Certification: ACI Dealing Certificate.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years in progressive experience in a busy Treasury environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Good understanding of Balance Sheet Management Matrix, Forex and Derivatives Products, Financial Market Trends, Bond and Debt Instruments, and Financial Forecasts.
  • Technical Skills: Highly proficient in Microsoft products, especially Excel for financial modelling and Refinitiv machines.

 

Competences, Knowledge & Experience

  • Sufficient knowledge and understanding of the Foreign Exchange Market and Risk management techniques.
  • Strong understanding of banking techniques, operations (including trade operations), and credit facilities.
  • High level of personal integrity, positivity, and flexibility towards changing market environments.
  • Outgoing, self-motivated, assertive, and proactive personality.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficiency in sales techniques, marketing, and relationship management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
