Job Summary
The Environmental Health & Safety Manager will lead the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of Environment, Health, Safety, Food Safety, Sustainability, and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems throughout the hotel.
The successful candidate will ensure compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, international standards, and industry best practices while promoting a culture of safety and environmental responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Environmental Health, Safety and Food Safety Management
Develop, implement, and periodically review EHS and Food Safety policies, procedures, and manuals.
Lead EHS, HACCP, ISO, Sustainability, and Occupational Health & Safety audits.
Establish audit programs to ensure compliance with food safety and environmental regulations.
Analyze audit findings and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Investigate incidents and accidents, determine root causes, and recommend preventive measures.
Design and deliver EHS and Food Safety training programs for employees.
Monitor contractor and supplier compliance with safety and food safety standards.
Stay updated on changes in local and international EHS regulations.
Conduct workplace inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Maintain and manage all EHS and Food Safety documentation.
Support Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability initiatives.
Lead implementation of Rotana Earth sustainability programs.
Ensure environmental protection and the safety of guests, employees, and contractors.
Occupational Health & Safety Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) procedures.
Lead implementation and continuous improvement of OHS programs.
Organize Occupational Health and Safety meetings and management reviews.
Support the establishment of EHS objectives and performance indicators.
Ensure all new employees receive mandatory safety training.
Report OHS performance to management and relevant authorities.
Communicate legal and regulatory requirements across departments.
Conduct safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
Develop corrective action plans following inspections and audits.
Conduct risk assessments and implement appropriate control measures throughout hotel operations.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in one of the following fields:
Environmental Health and Safety
Occupational Health and Safety
Environmental Science
Food Safety
Sustainability Management
Public Health
Industrial Safety
Or a related discipline
Required Experience
Candidates should have:
Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant professional experience.
Experience in Environmental Health and Safety Management.
Food Safety and HACCP implementation experience.
Sustainability and environmental compliance experience.
Hospitality, tourism, manufacturing, or other high-risk operational environments experience.
Professional Certifications (Added Advantage)
