Job Summary
Position: GBV Program Officer
Organization: Norwegian Church Aid (NCA) Tanzania
Location: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
Contract Type: One-Year Renewable Contract
Reporting To: GBV Program Lead

The GBV Program Officer will support the implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting of GBV interventions. The successful candidate will work closely with implementing partners to ensure quality programme delivery, accurate documentation, and strong accountability mechanisms.
Key Responsibilities
1. GBV Programme Implementation
Support implementation of GBV programme activities and work plans.
Track progress against planned objectives and targets.
Ensure timely execution of activities and interventions.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, Reporting, and Data Management
Collect, compile, and analyze programme data.
Prepare quality reports and programme documentation.
Support evidence-based planning and decision-making.
3. Partner and Stakeholder Coordination
Coordinate activities with implementing partners.
Organize meetings and follow up on action points.
Maintain effective communication between NCA and partner organizations.
4. Training, Workshops, and Field Support
Provide logistical support for trainings, workshops, and field missions.
Support capacity-building activities and programme events.
5. Proposal Development and Documentation
Contribute to resource mobilization efforts.
Support preparation of project proposals and donor reports.
Maintain proper programme records and knowledge management systems.
Required Qualifications

Education
A Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following areas:
Gender Studies
Social Work
Development Studies
Sociology
Human Rights
Other related Social Science disciplines
Experience
At least 2–4 years of experience in Gender-Based Violence (GBV) programmes.
Previous experience working with NGOs or international NGOs (INGOs) is an advantage.
Experience in programme implementation, coordination, monitoring, and reporting.
Familiarity with donor-funded projects is desirable.
Skills and Competencies

Strong knowledge of GBV principles and survivor-centered approaches.
Understanding of GBV referral pathways and Tanzania’s national GBV frameworks.
Basic Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning (MEAL) skills.

Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
