Job Summary
The General Manager – Water Center will
provide strategic leadership and oversee daily operations of the facility.
The role focuses on delivering exceptional guest
experiences, managing staff, developing partnerships, and ensuring operational
and financial efficiency. A strong background in hospitality, tourism,
and leadership is essential.
Key Responsibilities
1. Operational Leadership
- Oversee
daily operations including logistics, scheduling, inventory, and site
maintenance
- Manage
retail operations and Water Center activities
- Coordinate
with global teams on shipping, customs, and financial processes
- Ensure
operational sustainability in collaboration with regional leadership
2. Guest Experience
- Lead
the launch and ongoing development of the Water Center (2026)
- Design
and deliver immersive, high-impact visitor experiences and workshops
- Personally
host high-profile guests and groups
- Establish
best practices for guest engagement and storytelling
- Inspire
visitors to support WTW’s mission
3. Staff Leadership
- Recruit,
train, and mentor a diverse team
- Build
a strong service culture and ensure high performance
- Promote
cultural sensitivity and excellent guest interaction
4. Partner Development
- Build
and maintain relationships with safari operators, donors, and corporate
partners
- Expand
tourism networks and revenue streams
- Ensure
continuous feedback and improvement of guest experiences
5. Donor Engagement
- Develop
donor engagement systems and tools
- Integrate
storytelling into guest experiences
- Support
fundraising efforts and water initiatives in Tanzania
6. Financial Management
- Prepare
and manage budgets
- Monitor
financial performance and reporting
- Achieve
revenue targets while optimizing costs
7. Collaboration
- Work
closely with WTW Tanzania and global teams
- Develop
new initiatives to enhance engagement and impact
8. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure
adherence to health,
safety, and local regulations
- Maintain
quality control standards for filter assembly processes
Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 5+
years in a similar role
- Experience
in tourism, hospitality, or high-end lodge environments preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s
degree in:
- Hospitality
- Tourism
- Or
related field
Skills & Competencies
- Strong
leadership and team management skills
- Excellent
cross-cultural communication and interpersonal abilities
- Strong
organizational and project management skills
- Financial
and revenue management expertise
- Ability
to work under pressure and solve complex problems
- High

in Google Suite

to reside in or near Arusha
