Tanzania Empowerment Forum Limited (TEF Consult) is recruiting on behalf of our client for the position of MIS Executive based in Dar es Salaam. This role is ideal for an analytical professional with strong skills in Business Intelligence reporting, SQL scripting, and data analysis, who is passionate about transforming data into actionable insights that support business and revenue planning.

About the Role

The MIS Executive (MIS & Reporting Executive) will be responsible for SQL scripting, data mining, data analysis, and report publication to support business decision-making within the Marketing function. The role plays a critical part in ensuring accurate, timely, and automated reporting through Business Intelligence (BI) systems. The successful candidate will support revenue planning, product performance monitoring, and trend analysis by transforming raw data into meaningful insights for management and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting, Business Intelligence & Dashboard Management

    • Manage end-to-end BI reporting processes, including report loading, logic validation, automation, and database table updates.

    • Develop, enhance, and maintain standard Marketing reports in line with business requirements.

    • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data generated from BI systems.

    • Produce and publish monthly Marketing performance dashboards for internal users and management.

    • Continuously improve reporting efficiency through automation and optimization.

  • SQL Scripting & Data Mining

    • Interpret business requirements and translate them into accurate SQL queries and scripts.

    • Apply SQL guidelines and procedures to extract, transform, and generate reliable datasets.

    • Perform data mining to support performance tracking, product validation, and strategic analysis.

  • Count, Value & Revenue Planning Support

    • Provide accurate data inputs to support revenue planning and forecasting.

    • Support product validation initiatives by providing analytical insights and performance reports.

    • Conduct regular tracking of key metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

    • Provide data and analysis to support revenue trending, growth evaluation, and management decisions.

  • Stakeholder Support & Collaboration

    • Work closely with Marketing, Revenue Planning, and other internal teams to understand reporting needs.

    • Support management by providing timely insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.

    • Ensure data integrity and compliance with internal reporting standards.

  • Additional Duties

    • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Revenue Planning Manager in line with business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Professional Certifications (Added Advantage): SQL Language Certification, Oracle Certification

  • Experience: 1–2 years in IT, MIS, or analytical roles. Experience in telecommunications or performance-driven organizations is an advantage.

  • Skills:

    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking.

    • Excellent planning, organizational, and communication skills.

    • Ability to work with large datasets and convert data into actionable insights.

    • Motivated, flexible, decisive, and goal-oriented.

    • Cultural awareness and ability to work across multiple teams.

    • Proficiency in English.

Working Conditions

  • Workshop-based with occasional field visits for training and support.

  • Adherence to workplace safety standards and proper tool usage.

  • May involve flexible hours or weekend work based on operational needs.

Performance Metrics (KPIs)

  • Timely and accurate production of Marketing and revenue reports.

  • Reliability and consistency of BI dashboards and automated reports.

  • Quality and usefulness of data insights provided to management.

  • Effectiveness of revenue tracking and trend analysis.

  • Compliance with reporting timelines and standards.
