Job Overview:
IITA is recruiting Field Facilitators to support agricultural research and demonstration trials in Siha District, Kilimanjaro. The successful candidates will assist in project coordination between farmers, extension workers, and BioSSA researchers and play a key role in data collection and farmer training.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in project coordination between farmers, extension staff, and BioSSA researchers.

Support layout, planting, and management of agricultural trial plots.

Collect plant and soil data from established trials.

Keep accurate records of demonstration plots and recorded data.

Submit weekly reports on demonstration trials to BioSSA scientists.
-
Arrange and coordinate field visits to demonstration trials.

Train farmers on proper handling and application of effective bio‑input products.

Perform any other duties assigned by project management.
Qualifications & Requirements:
-
Diploma in Agriculture with specialization in crops research and management.
-
At least 3 years of relevant experience in agricultural research.

Good understanding of maize and beans cropping systems in Tanzania.
-
Strong ability to work and maintain good relationships with farmers.
-
Knowledge of farming systems in Siha District.
-
Good team player and highly self‑motivated.
