Job Description
Meridianbet Tanzania is seeking a skilled and creative Journalist to join its media and digital content team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality sports news, multimedia content, and press materials. This role involves researching and covering sports-related stories, conducting interviews, producing video content, and ensuring timely publication across digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Research, write, and produce engaging sports news articles and multimedia stories
Record, edit, and publish video content for digital platforms
Conduct interviews and cover live sports events
Upload and manage content on social media platforms and content management systems
Collaborate with digital and editorial teams to enhance storytelling and coverage
Ensure accuracy, quality, and timely delivery of all published content
Minimum Requirements
At least 3 years of experience in journalism, media production, or digital content creation
Strong multimedia skills including videography, photography, and video editing
Proficiency in editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, Photoshop, or similar software
Experience uploading and managing content on YouTube, websites, and social media platforms
Academic qualifications in Journalism, Multimedia Studies, Mass Communication, or a related field
Fluency in both English and Swahili
High level of attention to detail
Willingness to work on weekends and public holidays when required
Strong interest in sports and digital content creation
Personal Attributes
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
High level of professionalism and accuracy
Ability to work independently using initiative
Punctual, reliable, and deadline-oriented
Ability to perform well under pressure and tight schedules
