Akiba Commercial Bank is inviting applications from highly experienced banking professionals to fill the position of Senior Manager, Corporate Banking. This senior leadership role is designed for individuals with strong corporate banking expertise, proven relationship management skills, and the ability to drive sustainable growth in corporate credit and liabilities portfolios.
The successful candidate will play a strategic role in expanding the bank’s corporate customer base, strengthening long-term relationships, and delivering customized financial solutions that support business growth while ensuring profitability and risk management.
Job Overview
The Senior Manager, Corporate Banking is responsible for growing and proactively managing the corporate credit and liabilities portfolio. The role focuses on business development, portfolio optimization, cross-selling of banking products, and delivering high-quality customer service to corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
Achieve business targets for assets, liabilities, revenue, costs, and customer numbers
Market and promote the ACB brand to strengthen competitiveness in the local market
Develop new business opportunities and expand the corporate customer base
Ensure efficient, profitable, and sustainable portfolio growth with high-quality outcomes
Deliver superior service to corporate clients and optimize internal synergies
Develop proactive market plans to grow the bank’s wholesale and corporate business
Create, implement, and manage commercial strategies and tactical business plans
Cross-sell the bank’s full range of products and services to corporate customers
Build and maintain strong relationships to drive customer acquisition, retention, and income growth
Provide premier onboarding, advisory services, and ongoing support to corporate clients
Manage key corporate relationships through regular visits, calls, and structured engagement plans
Act as the primary interface between the bank and selected high-net-worth corporate clients
Perform any other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications and Skills
University Degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, or a related field
Relevant and proven work experience in corporate banking
Strong skills in credit analysis, documentation, and relationship management
Ability to assess client needs and design suitable financial solutions
Experience in structured trade finance, syndication, or project financing is an added advantage
In-depth knowledge of corporate banking products and services
Proven sales and business development experience within corporate banking
Strong time management skills with the ability to work under deadlines
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team
