Akiba Commercial Bank is currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional to fill the position of Relationship Manager – Personal Banking. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about personal banking, relationship management, and delivering sustainable financial solutions that support individual customers and contribute to national economic development.
The Relationship Manager will focus on building long-term relationships, driving portfolio growth, and offering tailored financial solutions while ensuring excellent customer experience and service delivery.
Job Summary
The Relationship Manager – Personal Banking is responsible for promoting sustainable financial solutions to individuals by managing group schemes, strengthening customer relationships, and achieving sales and portfolio growth targets in line with the bank’s strategic objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Handle the end-to-end acquisition and relationship management of Group Schemes
Work closely with branches to build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential companies
Identify new prospects, close deals, and grow the assigned portfolio
Act as the main contact person for portfolio companies and coordinate sales and marketing activities
Serve as the escalation point for sales team issues related to portfolio companies
Ensure all acquired companies are vetted through Credit Risk to maintain quality standards
Communicate product offerings and requirements to Branch Personal Banking Teams
Manage product and proposition briefs to assigned branches and teams
Achieve sales targets and product penetration within acquired companies
Maintain strong business relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction
Ensure seamless end-to-end customer service from origination to fulfillment
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a related role
Proven experience in sales and relationship management
Strong selling, presentation, and negotiation skills
Good understanding of credit risk analysis and risk management processes
Leadership skills with the ability to communicate business strategy at all levels
Strong commitment to service excellence
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
