19th century, beginning with a girls’ school established in Zanzibar in 1905 by

Position Summary
AKES Tanzania is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Admissions,
Data, Exam and Student Information System (SIS) Coordinator to support
efficient school operations and high-quality service delivery. This key role is
responsible for managing student admissions and enrolment, maintaining accurate
student data, coordinating examinations and assessments, and administering the
school’s Student Information System (SIS).
Key Responsibilities
1. Admissions and Enrolment Management

- Manage
the full admissions cycle, including inquiries, applications, interviews,
assessments, and enrolment.
- Respond
promptly and professionally to prospective parent inquiries.
- Schedule
and coordinate assessments, parent meetings, and school tours.
- Maintain
accurate admissions and enrolment records within the SIS.
- Prepare
admission reports, enrolment dashboards, and projections for leadership.
2. Data Management and Reporting
- Maintain
accurate and up-to-date student records throughout the academic year.
- Ensure
compliance with AKES data protection, privacy, and information management
policies.
- Generate
regular and ad hoc reports for academic, HR, finance, and leadership
teams.
- Support
verification of attendance, academic performance, and demographic data.
3. Examination and Assessment Coordination
- Coordinate
internal and external assessments and examinations.
- Prepare
examination timetables, invigilation schedules, and logistical arrangements.
- Ensure
secure handling, storage, and distribution of examination materials.
- Support
teachers in entering grades, assessments, and report data into the SIS.
4. SIS Administration
- Serve
as the primary SIS administrator for the school.
- Manage
user accounts, roles, permissions, and data workflows.
- Support
staff in effective use of SIS modules including admissions, attendance,
academics, behavior, and communication.
- Coordinate
system updates, enhancements, and troubleshooting with AKES IT and global
SIS teams
5. Communication and Customer Service
- Provide
high-quality customer service to current and prospective parents.
- Communicate
admissions outcomes, assessment results, and academic updates
professionally.
- Support
school events related to admissions, examinations, orientation, and parent
engagement
The requirements
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s
degree in Education, Business Administration, ICT, Statistics, or a
related field.
- Minimum
of three (3) years’ experience in school administration, admissions, data
management, or examination coordination.
- Strong
computer skills, particularly in Student Information Systems, Microsoft
Excel, and database tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience
working in international school environments (Cambridge, IB, and National
Curriculum).
- Training
or certification in data management or ICT systems.
- Experience
in multicultural or diverse educational settings.
